Do we need one ?
There are several footie fans on here now and I was wondering if we could do with a footie discussion thread ? We can keep up with the footie news of the day and discuss the latest results etc.
Obviously we will need to keep comments on a lighthearted "banter" level and not get too heated in any discussions.
I'll get the ball rolling, so to speak - I hope the mighty Tractor Boys stuff the budgies this afternoon in the biggest derby match in world football........ ;D

Well I was down to Glasgow yesterday to see Celtic beat Inverness 3-0. Was well under the weather by the time I made it back to Elgin.

Ha - my second club is Ipswich and have seen them many times - but not as many as the Mighty Imps Also, having the Blues as my second team means I also have a bit of a soft spot for the Hammers (belied by my lighthearted sideswipe at Andy elsewhere) Anyway, us Imps got off to a flier but have now lost three in a row - nuff said Any Man Ure fans out there? ;D

Watched it on Sky. Nearly dislocated my spine leaping around the room like a mad thing when we scored (all 3 of 'em !!).
What's all this about "2nd" teams ? Can't be doing with that. The only "2nd" team I support are whoever Norwich are playing against !!

When I was a wee boy, I was more of an Ipswich fan that a Lincoln fan - we nearly moved there when my Dad got a job with Fisons when I was 18 months old and the team stuck. Drifted away in my teens to Lincoln but sort of got some enthusiasm back when George Burley became manager - link to the team I supported in the 70's. During the Burley era, went in the North Stand a few times then got the occasional use of Jamie Clapham's season ticket (my neighbour at the time was an Ipswich fan and used to drive me down) Now I just keep an eye on Ipswich's results.

My "2nd" team are whoever is beating Spurs ;D (Don't you think Martin Jol looks like Pappa Moomin ) GHx

On our boards (LCFC) they are known as Man Ure which I think is appropriate - and more so on this board

Sorry GH & Andy, I really couldn't resist (especially as the mighty Tractor Boys beat league leaders Birmingham today). If Curbishley didn't realise what a big job he'd taken on, I bet he does now !!
