Just wondering what everyone's planning for the weekend in terms of their garden. I've got quite a few jobs to do (in between ferrying my kid to various parties), most of which won't get done but they include...
Clearing out the spent Valerian in my front borders. Mowing the lawns Getting rid of the weeds on my path and generally clearing up the patio Cutting away all the Russian Vine on my patio trellis Deadhead and feed the roses Clear out Hestia runner beans and clean pots
How about yourself?

Hello DG, I need to do some tidying in my pot plant greenhouse and find homes for some plants that are still hanging around in pots! No work next week so I might just have a lazy weekend Don't children go to a lot of parties these days - my grandchildren seem to be at a party every weekend

Hopefully get the rest of my second earlies up (anya), and the leeks in. Also put weedkiller on the front courtyard, if the weather stays dry for long enough!

You're right about the parties. My sprog has tow on Saturday, plus a summer fete so I'll be driving round like a mad thing. Reckon I'm going to try and do the lawns this evening when I get home so that's done. I always get a bit jittery I haven't done it for a while.

I'll pass the time papering the spare room. I end up with the job because O.H says it's like dressmaking, you just have to match the pattern

I may be able to get into the GH and so a bit of pricking out...wallflowers, sweet williams and bellis. I need to harvest and pickle the beetroot, and my red banana needs potting up.
We have a family get together tomorrow at Dad's...he can drink all of us under the table so there'll be some sore heads on Sunday morning!
OH is trawling the web, local rags and the county for a car.....and we might go and see the HP flick.

My weekend started today with a well earned day off. Eldest daughter is visiting so have been out to lunch, and been mooching around all sorts of shops and the sun is still shining ;D I also had a dental hygienist appointment (with two of my girls who are a hygienist and a dental nurse and very good too) a freebie, although they did enjoy winding me up a tadge Popped into to the lottie for some salad - must get down there this weekend and pick some fruit. BBQ at other daughters tomorrow evening, haircut tomorrow morning, just hoping Sunday is going to be dry to fit in some gardening

I am going to transplant more leeks into my vacant potato plot, and harvest some dwarf french beans - if I can get through the undergrowth

Well my garden is an absolute mess so if it ever stops raining I won't know where to start! I've got a load of plants that desperately need to go in so that had better be my first priority, but the forecast sounds dire again.

Judging by the weather, looks lie a Harry Potter weekend!
