I have a dwarf ragged robin, from which I have managed to collect some seeds.
Does anyone have any idea about when to sow them and what conditions (I know that the plant itself likes damp conditions)
Any help/advice etc gratefully received.

And here I am! I would sow the seeds now, Bagpuss, as I have found that many native plant seeds are much better sown fresh. Just put them in a tray and leave them somewhere shady, check they're getting enough water and they will either germinate very quickly or perhaps in fits and starts through the Autumn. I have grown them from seed before and never had a problem. They're lovely plants but much less common now, so you're doing a VERY GOOD THING by propagating them! ;D

Many thanks Chuckles/4P for your help, noted and much appreciated. I hadn't realised that as a plant it was declining. I just saw it in a local nursery and fell in love with it and at the cost of £1 a bargain as well.
Chuckles, very useful info on that site, I've saved it to my favourites.
Well I shall follow your advice, and we will see what happens. BTW, in trays and leave somewhere shady, would that be outdoors or indoors (sorry if that's a daft question).
Thanks again.

Morning! Put your seed tray outside Bagpuss. It's always best to try and duplicate the natural environment for wild flower plants. Jennywren - Campion and Ragged Robin are both part of the Carnation family (Caryophylaceae -I looked it up, I am NOT a walking encyclopaedia ;D). I have never tried to take cuttings - I always sow seeds as I've never had a problem getting them to germinate. The Campion family are lovely flowers and very easy to grow. Red Campion is a good plant to grow in a garden as it's as tough as old boots and flowers for a long time. Bladder Campion has lovely seeds heads (hence its name : .
