...is going in the shed and hearing the rain on the roof. That really is nice and somehow reminds me of my childhood when you'd seek shelter anywhere when you were out and about. I love my shed!

I have no problem sitting in my shed down on my lottie and listening/watching the rain. As a child my sisters & I used to go to a farm each weekend and buy eggs (3 1/2 dozen as I remember) and we were allowed free reign on the farm. We used to spend all day making shelters out of bracken rain or shine - gosh that takes me back a long way ;D

I sleep in the attic (converted thankfully) and I love to hear the rain battering on the Velux windows during the night. I just wish it wouldn't do it during the day. Though I like being in my greenhouse when it rains.

hello i just came back from a miserable week in a rainy tent.!!!! the one thing i do adore is in a tent you dont have to look to see what the weather is like. if the sun is out you are boiling in a tent and even the finest of rains you can hear on the canvas(well whatever it is they are made of these days)and when it chucks it down really hard you actually have to shout to be able to be heard above the din .its good to be in constant contact with the weather.just a shame there wasnt more sun!!!!

I fell out with camping when the waterproofing went on our tent. We all woke up very damp in the morning.

I love the sound of rain belting down on the conservatory roof or on the big brolly i sit under when i go fishing. There just seems to be something very theraputic about it

I don't mind this excess rain all that much (Sorry if you're currently flooded out anyone!). This time of year in this bit of Norfolk we are usually struggling to keep things alive and the water butts are dry - this year everything is beautifully green still, instead of brown and parched looking. It makes a change anyway......

I'm not connected to mains water, so sometimes it's in short supply. My garden is particularly bountiful too, all the fruit bushes and trees are laden.

I don't mind this weather too much although I do feel sorry for those unfortunate enough to be hit by the flooding and everything that goes with that.
Me, I will garden in virtually all weathers, and even with all this rain we have been having, I still have some containers that I have to water, so at least it keeps my water butt topped up.
