i bought a sidalcea (william smith). its been lovely, despite falling over a lot with the rain. but i dont know anything about its care, do i cut it back, when its finished flowering, or is it best left to its own devices. thanks

Hi Barbara, I would cut the main spike off, down to a leaf joint, because you may find that little side shoots will develop, giving you more flowers. Cut back in Autumn or Spring. not difficult plants usually, so don't worry.
