How much longer can I expect my sweetpeas to keep flowering for. I have a couple of different varieties and one is definitely fininshed so I am leaving the flowers turn to seed. The other is still going strong but this is the one I really want to get as much seed as I can from. Its a dilemma do I keep picking or let them go to seed too .........
Oh and another question if I mark the individual colours and collect the seed seperately, do they come true - any ideas ...

Mmmmm good question JL. I'd probably over do the feeding on the one you want to get the most seed from, that should help it cope with making seed and making more flowers for more seeds too, jeez that was a mouthful ;D Don't know if the seeds come true to colour though

It's unlikely JLottie as they will have been cross pollinated by the bees. If you don't mind what colours you get, it may be worth growing them next year but if you want specific varieties it's best to start with fresh seed from a sweetpea nursery.
