Lol Chuckles, just realised it only 2 weeks on from when I planted mine, the pots have been moved a couple of times and I haven't got a clue whats where - so much for labels I've still got anenomes and freesias to go in and I've run out of pots too

Still not planted any bulbs yet! I was actually relieved today when it started raining - so the decision not to plant today was out of my hands. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow - I WILL PLANT MY BULBS.

I have just got a box full of bulbs that I ordered - some lovely wild Tulips as well - why is it though that I just do not like planting bulbs - I always put it off until the last minute. Mind you the garden has got to be cleared for winter before I can start anyway........that's another reprieve.......

You're not alone RF, I also put off bulb planting till the last minute. Didn't stop me buying 12 packets at Lidl this morning. As for cutting back, I always do it at this time of year. Just in case the rotting vegetation encourages pests and diseases, especially slugs. But I do have wildlife corners ;D

I think planting shrubs or flowers you have instant gratification, bulbs is for those who wait! Does not sound like me at all. So the thought of grubbing around in the hard, cold soil for something that will not show for over 4 months, does not appeal. That's why I leave until the last possible moment. Maybe tomorrow, if it isn't pouring down again,

Planted loads of gladiolous bynaztinum (sp.) ... the lovely small-flowered purplish one. Horrible job, but at least it's done now ;D ... cheers ...
