This is growing (rapidly) in my garden. Now I'm sure I wont want to keep it But can anyone tell me what it is please as I have no idea.

Whatever it is Shrub, I rather like the look of it. RF I quite like it too, which is why I've left it alone. But having fallen foul of that practice once or twice before I thought I'd ask before it gets any bigger. There's been one or two elsewhere that I've removed just in case. It's spreading by throwing runners. Might be good ground cover, weed suppressing etc but dont want to add another 'hard to control' plant to my ever-lengthening list !!

It's a little wild cinquefoil Shrub. Probably 'Silverweed' Potentilla anserina. ;D

I say wt, I'm impressed. And what a lovely name it has. Is it a goodie or a baddie? I would think you'd be able to keep it under control, Shrub, it is just like a strawberry in growth, so just remove the runners. Very pretty leaves?

Silverweed is a terrible thug. It spreads as fast and as wide as ground elder. The roots are edible by the way, but I would not want it anywhere near my garden.
