I've been waffling about our local Wildlife Trust and wondered if you had a Trust near by, or if you would be prepared to find out: www.wildlifetrusts.org/index.php?section=localtrustsThe Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is now on land which was once part of the Wolseley Estate, and it was donated (I think!) about 6 years ago. When we first started visiting LP was barely walking and the place was very overgrown. The staff and volunteers have transformed the wilderness into wonderful wildlife areas: a sensory garden, woodland, lakes/lakeside/island, reedbeds, river bank, stream, nature garden..... It's a great place to visit whether walking a dog, children, bird spotting or just because you want a quiet stroll. So forgive me for sounding like an advert, but let us know whether you have a Trust nearby, or something similar.

Funnily enough Plocket, I joined the Suffolk Wildlife Trust a few weeks ago and was going to post a similar thread to this but hadn't got round to it yet !
I haven't had any involvement with them yet because I've only been a member for a couple of weeks but hopefully we'll get to hear of events that might be suitable for the children to join in with in due course.

Have you visited the site yet? I'd love to know what it was like - whether they try and have similar sites or whatever!
