I have a Wisteria, which I have had now for about 2½ - 3 years. When I bought the plant it was very small - it looked almost like a twig.
It is now approximately 4-5ft tall, and has still yet to flower.
My question is, should I prune it now, or should I let it mature a bit more before I start pruning it twice a year?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Let it grow a bit to get the framework ready otherwise the plant will put all its energy into producing flower but little growth. Give it a good feed in spring and even throughout summer (weekly liquid feed) and you should get some good growth.
Good luck

Sometimes wisteria can be stubborn and not bloom until they have been in the ground for 7 years or more! Ours was in for 8 years before it popped out just a few buds. Each year it produces more and now the whole plant, which grows on the magnolia tree dead branches, is covered with flowers in spring. Well worth the wait. When the plant is mature a little root pruning in late summer will "frighten" the plant into producing more flowers. Yours is still a baby and needs to be treated as Andy suggested.
