I have some Hyacinths that have been down the cellar for a few weeks, they now have buds about inch and half high and quite fat but white! I also have some tete a tete daffs in the same condition. Is it time to fetch them into the warm and light yet??

Is it time to fetch them into the warm and light yet?? Hello SC! I asked just that very question recently The answer I got was to bring them in to the light when the buds were about an inch long. They were very pale cream when I put them out and they're greening up already. It's only been a day!! So I reckon you should bring them up from the cellar into the bosom of the family ;D

Oooh just found this! Yes bring them out when the leaf-buds are about 1inch long, and preferably keep them in a cool but bright room. I've just brought ours out and hope that I might even get flowers for Christmas

I have just found a bag of dwarf iris' which I had forgotten about. Will it be ok to plant them now? I know they might not flower next spring, or flower later but that wouldn't be disasterous ( they can't flower at all in their bag!!!)I am, however concerned that hungry rodents might dig them up at this time of year, what do you think?

Hi folks - I just bought home an Amaryllis bulb from Aldi - I've never forced a bulb for indoor flowering before, so any tips would be welcome (I'm not bad with outdoor plants, but have a great knack of killing indoor ones ) ... cheers ...

I could do with some Amaryllis help too - mine's been sitting in soil for about two months but doesn't show any signs of growth. The bulb looks healthy enough though. Any tips or comments?
