Got my first pressie last weekend. The OH bought me a very stylish gothic style arch. The previous one rusted at the base and fell over in the gales a couple of weeks ago. All I need to do now is put it up - probably need some help but as soon as I start he'll be out there "helping" aks taking over - if only he'd do the same with the grass!!

Lucky you, have you managed to rescue the climbers or can that be a project too?

Hi all nice to be back. Thanks Gertrude I did manage to save the climbers and they are now firmly tied to the new arch. Santa (in the shape of brother!) bought me a matching bird feeding station and the two are side by side in the garden and looking fab. I also got some seeds and have already sown the sweet peas! Looking forward to Spring!

What a good Christmas garden you had, I had a pot scrubbing brush, shaped like a pot, it will be great for speeding up a boring job.

Call me a LT but that's one job I never do! I just brush of dried up compost with a stiff brush and off I go again. I know it's something that should be done but its one of those jobs I attach the "life's too short" arguement to!
