Seeing the thread for next year's seed trials made me realise that today's the shortest day and I think we can officially start to look foreward to Spring. So if you have done it yet - out with those seed catalogues and credit cards! ;D ;D

I thought today was the shortest day too borderbabe - then the weatherman dashed it by saying that because next year is a leap year - the shortest day is tomorrow Anyway, still a good time to look at the seed catalogues ;D x Tig

Or check your garden. The flowerheads on the Helleborus are swelling. Other forms of Spring watch? There definitely are lots of birds to be watching. Pheasants are out on the lotties so they will be watched very closely. ( Nice recepies for cooking with Pheasant might be useful soon ) Also noticed a white Heron, very exotic in my mind.
Now... seed catalogues... ;D

I read that as Blackcurrant and lilac PUDDING And my eyes lit up Lots of signs of spring in the garden today ... daffodil and crocus bulbs up .... but all the bulbs I planted in a cleared bed have been uprooted by cats. So a re-planted job is on the agenda for tomorrow ... cheers ...
