Just got back from the garden centre, where I picked up some night scented stock, nicotiana, climbing nasturtiums, sweet peas, canterbury bells, and giant pumpkin seeds. Oh, and a couple of windowsill propogators complete with peat plugs to start them in. Now I just have to wait.... ;D

I went to the GC on Thursday and it was so quiet! Hardly anyone around which was very refreshing.
I did manage to resist tho, we just got a bird feeder for the girls to hang in the garden.

Think I'll settle down with a cuppa and my Chiltern catalogue this afternoon. Though where I am going to plant any of the resulting flowers, God only knows. Because I have no room, I'll likely get 100% germination.

I had a splurge on Saturday - went to GC and got my seed potatoes and set them out for chitting. Bought some veggie seeds - mostly peas and beans, got home and realised I'd forgotton the carrots! and I took a list <dohsmiley>
Then to B&Q and spent a voucher on some terracotta pots and some had broken after the frost in early December and a bag of John Innes.
Not very exciting but necessary and a warm up for the rest of the year! ;D ;D

I am still waiting for their catalogue. It is going to wreak havoc with my decision not to buy more unless I really need it. Now what does one really need.......

I've caught the begonia bug! Bought some orange and white pendula begonias in Wilkinsons yesterday. Will have to go back for the red and yellow ones! They've also got loads of other goodies! but ... last year I bought a collection of orange/yellow plants that should have had an orange Phlox in it which turned out to be mauve! In my yellow and orange bed a bit of a surprise to say the least!!

Had a little more HRT at lunchtime - Black Calla Lily and two packets of seeds in Wilkinsons - I'm getting warmed up for the spring season!! Posting order for plug plants shortly.
Wilkco's have got an offer of four packs of perennials for £4.00 (usual price £1.50 per pack) Some of the packs have one plant in them others three plants - choose carefully and you could get 12 plants for £4.00 - they will need potting up can keeping in a cold frame though but reasonable value all the same.
I think I'll be back there tomorrow ;D
