Dutchy, didn't you take a tape measure with you? Looks like a nice little project for you and Chuckles to knock up over a weekend? ;D Oh yes, you construct it Dutchy I'll make the cushions. Nice one Shrub ;D Well I had a little splurge yesterday ;D bought more seeds and have forgotten what they are already definately Sweat Peas High Scent and Nicotiana Affinis also A Nigellia that was different to the normal one, had more solid deep coloured petals than the normal one. Bought 2 pots of Monarda didyma coz I can't get the things to grow from seed, 2 pots of Tanacetum coccineum (Feverfew) 'Robinsons Red' an boy are they red. Some grow tubes, another black tray thingy for the GH. Then right near the check out were all the plug plants where I just had to pick up 2 Gerranuims Rasberry ripple and 4 Bacopa. Bacopa will be for taking cuttings from as part of the 2008 Trial thread gardenworld.proboards103.com/index.cgi?board=2008trials&action=display&thread=4933Remembering the seeds now I noticed the Eden Project had a stand with loads of nice things on, I bought Fire and Ice Land Cress and Hibiscus Trionum Simply Love. Oh yes and a solar lantern that you wind up for 1 minute and get 20 mins of light from 12 led bulbs, really useful thing to have for power cuts, trips up the garden in the dark, ok ok I couldn't resist it I'm sure it will be very useful.

I still haven't spent my share pf the vouchers I won the other week...we went along to the nursery today and I just got a rather healthy looking dicentra (just the common pink & white one) for the border. I nearly bought some astrantias with variegated leaves...but I'm going to wait until they start growing...didn't fancy just buying a pot with a label on it with no evidence of plants yet...

Two weeks ago I put in a small order at the Beth Chatto nursery because they had a couple of plants I couldn't get anywhere else. Well they arrived and they are such fantastic plants, quite big for the money, all home grown and most wrapped in newspaper pots rather than plastic, that I've just put in another order. Haven't told OH yet though. ;D ;D

I have more than enough plants. The garden is stuffed and there are various seedlings and cuttings growing, ready to be shoehorned in somewhere. Then today I happened to be in Lidl, shopping for normal things like pasta and soap, when I saw some bare-rooted perennials - and somehow I arrived home with a couple of geraniums and astilbes .... I neeeeed a bigger garden ;D ... cheers ...

Forgive me for I have spluged greatly! I think I've had several splurges since I last posted on here! Small plug plants in Wilko's and some patio plants, ivy leafed geraniums and basket plants from the GC. Ordered my plug plants and Xanths by post as well.
Gh is now groaning for space and have put some plants out in the mini green house (another splurge bought a new one as previous one bot battered in a gale - frame as well as cover!) and I'm praying for less frost than Monday and Tuesday - we are due for a storm on Monday though ;D
