Anyone tried this? It has a straight 5/5 at Amazon and I was thinking of giving it a go.
I've tried several garden design programs and been hugely disappointed and have resorted to brain power and the odd bit of pen and paper. I thought this might be a useful accompaniment.

found this ; Good planting design does not follow a formula. At best, it allows you to experiment with nature and through nature to make an original statement. As in all of the arts, the best garden designers take risks. Only by taking risks can you come up with something exciting and original. - James Van Sweden
birbeck college, part of the university of london, do correspondence courses in garden history, sometimes it's conducive to start at the beginning, the roots.... etc etc. apart from that i know not your title, if i could have married/seduced a RHS book there is a great one on companion planting, in the visual sense. researching english heritage gardens, kew, chelsea physic garden are always amazing...... not much help, but always respond to inquisitive betterment..etc etc

Sometimes there is nothing beter than trying to remember the name of a plant you saw in a garden or picking the brains of friends and newcomers alike!!
