Changed my mind again about the Asters, theyve been eaten down to skeleton leaves overnight! Theres no snail-trail visible so what else could have eaten them?

I absolutely HATE poinsettas. Urgh it's coming to that time of year again.
I don't like cornus either but Obelix will tell me off !

No I won't Heldi, cos I know why you dislike them.
I can't stand poinsettieas either, or their cousins euphorbia and all those plasticky begonias and busy lizzies and anything bright orange except Icelandic poppies in mixes with other colours.

I just got the bulb catalogue. And they still sell pink dafs. I defenitely am NOT going to get those. What is all this about language control taking place. Is it the board directors ( oh noooo) or installed by higher deities. Just checking.. bitch. Dutchy

No it is absolutely there or did someone understand it was not meant as a swear word. Anyhow I appear to be under a gardener now. Who is it? Anyone I know . Oh other plants I don't like are the anuals that slugs and snails favour. I want to grow them in my garden but always have to revert to pots. Nothing else seems to work. Dutchy

I have always had trouble with anything yellow or orange, but I am suddenly drawn to rudbeckias and heleniums. Never liked roses, apart from a climber I planted to remind me of my childhood. I bought another rose last week. In fact I never really liked many flowers til a couple of years ago, more of a foliage person, but now my garden has gone all colourful. And it is much better! I love flowers.
