Have we started a weekend thread yet? Wot you all doing then? I am going out to lunch in a posh restaurant with my 4 sisters, brother and Daddy. It'll be one of my sister's 60th birthday on 26th of this month but next week she's flying to Australia for 4 weeks to stay with her daughter...so this is a sort of early bd treat for her.... OH will be picking me up and we'll prolly go to the local retail park (I'll take my sword stick and hockey pads with me) as he wants to look for computery stuff. I shall have had a few sherries so he will be able to talk me into anything...
Tomorrow....who knows? might win the lottery tonight! CPBxxx

My sister is coming over from Rednal, and we will be dragged around the shops with her, my daughter and I. My sister turns shopping into an olympic event, I rarely get time to make a decision, so spend very little. ;D

I'm on dad duty this morning but fortunately, Cherub has gone to play with her cousin and demon boy is currently enjoying his morning nap so I get a bit of peace & quiet ! Mind you , I have washed the breakfast dishes, tidied up cherub's bedroom, put away last night's pile of ironing (3½ hours worth (that I did)) and dusted & hoovered the living room this morning.
I think we're going to Braintree Wyevale this afternoon because they have a good Santa's grotto and I can also look for a Christmas present for my mum. Tomorrow is undecided as yet. I really would like to spend some time in the garden and greenhouse but I'm not sure what Mrs FA has planned.
Fortunately, I was due to have a minor op this week (yes, the "snip") but it was cancelled at the last minute (hurrah !) so I've been and done a load of Christmas shopping instead (well, I had booked 2 days off work so I thought I might as well put them to good use !!). I've got all of Mrs FA's presents sorted already (unheard of) and we also have bought a large proportion of the kids presents as well.

I'm mostly looking after children and dogs all weekend while daughter and friend whoop it up - one is going to see Basement Jaxx at Wembley, the other is going to the West End to see Chicago. I may pop out to feed the goats and rats, buy some more hay, stroke my log pile etc. Then I expect I shall be cooking up a meal suitable for a fussy vegetarian, convalescing 6yr old, 4yr who has to have tomato sauce with everything, feeding the rats again (to stop them starving to death overnight), washing up, putting children to bed, keeping dogs happy by a lot of simultaneous stroking (sounds better than it is...), clearing up cat sick, listening to OH snoring and smashing my new printer/scanner which I can't get to work with a pickaxe in an apoplectic frenzy of hi tech rage! Good eh?
Good luck with your minor op whenever you have it FA! My OH has had it (too late...). You may like to experiment with Rita's bedroom slipper design, slightly altered obviously for a different part of the anatomy.

Good for you Andy! My OH made me have the much more complicated and painful female op, because, well , because he was a scaredycat! A friend of ours took two Ibuprofen and went back to work, climbing ladders fitting security systems, said he didnt know what all the fuss was about. Cant beleive you have almost finished the dreaded christmas shopping though I have a grand total of one present, dont even know what Im going to buy yet!

We will spend the weekend moving furniture and trying to make some headway with cleaning the house. The plumber is coming on Monday to take gas and central heating pipes from the lounge into the new garden room, so we have to empty half the lounge. The problem is that the lounge currently contains the furniture from the old dining room as well as the lounge furniture, so it is chock-a-block.
Meanwhile the kitchen has been boarded out ready for the floor tiles so is at last relaitively clean. I want to give it all a good sweep out so that we don't constantly tread dust into the lounge and bedrooms.
This morning I had to dismantle and clean the Dyson. The cyclone was completely clogged up.
This afternoon is buying paint.

Good for you Andy! My OH made me have the much more complicated and painful female op, because, well , because he was a scaredycat! Seemed the most sensible option to me. I definitely don't want any more children, even if Mrs FA & I were to split up, I wouldn't want any with anyone else and I don't think it's good for her to stay on the pill forever. It's a minor procedure for a bloke but a big deal for a woman. I was actually a bit gutted that it was cancelled. I wasn't exactly looking forward to it but I was looking forward to getting it over & done with. Never mind. FA x

FA - I have to say that you are sounding more and more like every womans idea of a perfect husband - seems like the only thing missing is the unending supply of cash! ( or are you keeping that a secret?) LLx

Well we've done the routine of Ballet and Swimming lessons, and LP is now at a party while OH cooks a venison casserole for dinner tomorrow. I have just painted my nails because I'm out on the razzle tonight, but I'm finding typing rather difficult. Some of the keys are now red!!! Tomorrow we are going to see M&D who are now back from NZ and Oz.

FA - I have to say that you are sounding more and more like every womans idea of a perfect husband - seems like the only thing missing is the unending supply of cash! ( or are you keeping that a secret?) LLx Perfect husband ? I'll ask Mrs FA if I am and tell you what she says when she stops laughing. It'll be about Wednesday.... It's funny you should say that about money though - the other day I was getting dressed and she'd opened the bedroom curtains. I didn't have anything on and she said to me "will you put some clothes on. If the neighbours see you starkers, they'll think I married you for your money. Which I quite obviously didn't" !!! So, no, I don't have an unending supply of cash. She just acts like it most of the time ;D ;D FA x
