Does anyone have one of these? It's not in any of my gardening books and there is/was little information about it on the internet. Have any of you come across it before or have any info on how to care for it? What little information I could find about it stated, that it "attracts hummingbirds" if I see any in my Norfolk garden, you lot will be the first to hear about it, then I will call the RSPB!!! I wouldn't have another one though, it seeds very freely, for a shrub, but what I hate most about it is, it smells absolutely horrid - hummingbirds must have a very odd sense of smell!!!!

I don't have any Rita, but one of my clients has a couple in her front garden which she bought because she was told they keep cats away. Not sure if it works but haven't seen any cats in that part of the garden! I give them a bit of a trim every now & then to keep them bushy & that's about it.

I have one, and mine doesn't smell at all, not does it seed freely.
