Its a multifunction printer/scanner/copier and is being offered by Aldi for 24.99 tomorrow only...... now for the question. Does anyone have one of these? I have had a Lexmark printer before and its programming caused conflict within the pc with the security, it kept trying to make itself a server or something daft. Given that I only have today to research and must buy it tomorrow if Im having it can anyone advise? I have tried to do a search but the language used on the one reference I found was incomprehensible I have learned over time that at least where the pc is concerned things arent always what they seem and a bargain isnt always a bargain, thanks in advance if you can help. ;D

I don't have one of these but I did have a Lexmark x75 printer/scanner/copier which was given as a freebie when I bought my PC. I hated it.
I still use it for the scanner occasionally but I found the toner cartridges VERY expensive and the print quality wasn't even that good. When the cartridges ran out, I was quoted £58 for 2 new ones. I then went and bought myself an Epson photo printer, which is MUCH better.

Thanks Andy, Ill do some checking on the cartridge prices, its ridiculous how the replacement cartridges are likely to be more than double the price of this gizmo! Thanks for the warning.

I understand it's quite a common thing with Lexmark machines. They sell them cheap but then get the money back by stinging you for the toner cartridges.
The other thing with Lexmark's is that they often (apparently - I'm no expert) only have 1 black cartridge and 1 colour cartrdige. They run out really quickly, so I'm told.
The Epson printer that I now have takes cartridges that are £7 each.

I needed a new scanner so bought a Brother Multi-function,it's taking a bit of getting used to,seems like stand alone scanners are on the way out now.

Multi purpose machines have more things to go wrong I have a separate scanner, not sure of make, never gone wrong and serves every purpose We have three Epson printers, one of them free with the Ink Jet Cartridge company we use - and their cartridges are about £6 each too

I have a free Lexmark x75 that came with our PC and it's CRAP! As FA says, the cartridges cost a fortune and the paper keeps jamming in ours. I use the scanner every now and then, but don't bother to print any more - it just isn't worth the agro.

I decided against the printer scanner thingy as Andy told me how much the refills are likely to be and its a complete rip-off! I bought myself some speakers and a new keyboard and mouse instead ;D
