According to the RHS:
Myrrhis is an aromatic herbaceous perennial with fern-like leaves and umbels of small white flowers in early summer, followed by aniseed-scented fruits.
M. odorata is an erect, aniseed-scented perennial with bright green, 2- to 3-pinnate leaves and white flowers in umbels, followed by spindle-shaped fruits.

I have this shrub growing in my front border by my back door. It's very sheltered there so. not only does it stay shrubby and green all year, but it's actually still flowering.

Thanks you guys! Lucky you 4P having it all year - mine is still a baby in a pot - so I will let it sleep until next year!

Yes, vanishes and come back with renewed strength. The seedling pop up in the Spring too. Once you have it you will never been without.
