Can I leave my kniphophia plants in the ground through winter or do I dig them up and store them? I planted them as rhizomes in spring this year and they have established well with lots of leaves but didnt get any flowers. Any advice greatly appreciated. Steve

You certainly can, Steve, tough as old boots when fully established - but for this first year I'd scatter some straw or anything loose and insulative between the leaves to add a little protection to the 'crown'. Next year though, and forevermore, leave 'em - or maybe split 'em.
OM.
