I have 2 of these (albizzia julibrissin) plants grown from seed sown in May this year. They're about 24" tall now with lovely long frond-like leaves... They really need re-potting as they're actively growing, but I'm unsure about compost...and pot size. I re-potted only a few weeks ago and they're already climbing out of these pots... Presumably the growth will slow down soon...will they be OK in my cold GH over winter? or should I bring them into the conservatory?. I've never grown anything like them before so I would appreciate some advice. thank you CPB

I bought one of these years ago at Abbotsbury. It was very expensive but gorgeous so I succumbed. The label said nothing about being tender but fortunately I researched it and wrapped it up for winter in Harrow. It survived two fairly hard ones then keeled over one spring after a late frost.
I would therefore take yours in to the conservatory rather than the greenhouse and keep it there till the last of the frosts have gone.
