Mrs Plocket, and any other Clem Lover! On my patio, which I'm re-doing right now, I have a little wall where nothing is happening ! It is a part of the patio that never has sun, except maybe in high summer during one hour. The wall is between the door and the window and is aprox 1m wide. Is there a shade loving clem, which isn't growing too large, which would fit in there. Any colour is fine! (not yellow or orange though). Thanks for any advice! <hug> <thisisthesmileyImissthemostontheseboards> Anneliesje

Hi Anneliesje! I've got James Mason, Fair Rosamund, HF Young and Petit Faucon in similar growing circumstances to those you describe so I'd recommend any of those. Corona is also a good one for shade, along with Pink Champagne, Hagley Hybrid and Honora. My HF Young doesn't get any sun at all yet is doing well, if that helps!

Hi! Thanks Plocket <hug>
I like the fair rosamund a lot and as well the Honora. I think the Clematis man from Obelixx has them both!
And the blue eclips is sooooooooo nice!
Thanks for your help Plocket. A trip to ClemMan has to be scheduled! Anneliesje

Bonjour La Ploquette, No they are in seperate spaces! The dark one is in the shady spot and the white one has a spot in my re-vamped patio border and has to grow through my hedera (??) , well, euh Poison Ivy ;)and has to make the background of a crimson border. The dark one has some spotted green ivy as a companion. I'm so BAD with names! As long as I can remember the names of my children it is OK, although often I have to say all 3 of them before I have the right one <doh> Have a nice evening <hug>

PML Annelisje - I've seen them on the Rogues Gallery and they look absolutely lovely - a family to be proud of. Your clems sound delicious - don't worry about the names of your plants though, as long as you know how to look after them all!!! Will you post photos when they are established - pretty please? Px

Thanks for your kind words Plocket. yes I will post pics when they (the clems) have grown and will be flowering. I'm also quite proud of my garden My kids don't always look so nice, they had to go to the marriage of their niece. So it was a special occasion! And they were calling " mum mum, what to wear?? mum mum please do my hair!!". <hug>

Oh that is so pretty Anneliesje! The name isn't too bad really is it?
I've got Sunset in flower at the moment in it's hanging basket, and mum's clem was still in flower when we visited at the weekend - I think it's Niobe but I'm not sure. Saw a cracking Tangutica in flower yesterday too!
