Hello Can anyone help with and ID on a plant please? They are daisy size, is it related? Very pretty, flowering in my friends garden at the moment. Many thanks.

It doesn't look like the one in your thread Rita, but yours is what my sister has in her gdn and it does spread everywhere. The leaves and petals are totally different not sure what yours is jonah but it's a lovely colour

I'm thinking now it might be a type of dwarf Aster, but the leaves are different to the big ones I have in the garden. It is a neat little mound and the flowers are quite small, no more than about an inch/inch and a half across, don't think it is anything mentioned so far. I'll try having a google, thanks everyone.

Thanks Mick, I've looked at some chrysanthemum rubellum images and it appears similar, so could be that. They don't always show the leaves very well, so I'll keep looking.

Hi Rosefan My friends one is smaller, very similar flower size to lawn daisies, but that looks lovely and cheerful I was having a google last night and there are so many aster relatives and daisy flowering plants. Another possibility was an Argyranthemum [sp?]. I will try and take the camera with me next time I visit to show the whole plant in more detail, instead of one bedraggled flower ferried back on the pram!

Sorry MG, I got a bit overwhelmed with all the grunging! I did have a look last night, and again this morning. I think that must be it. I never realised daisies/asters and chrysanths were all one big family. The leaves look the right shape. I must get in the habit of taking the camera out more on my travels. I've added that site to favourites, must have a good look to learn a bit more. Thank you
