Hi Plocket, My Duchess of Edinburgh (grp 2) has flower buds on it and I have not yet prunned it. What can you advise? Thanks Sara

Hia Sara ;D
I'd leave it be - don't prune it at all because you will cut off potential flower shoots. When it's finished flowering in late spring/early summer you can then prune it back by about 1/3, or 1/2 at a push, then hopefully you will then get some autumn flowers too. You can tidy it after it's had a second flush too, but not much - just enough to keep it tidy.
It won't harm it if you prune it now btw, but you won't get so many flowers.

Not really for a group 2, especially down in the tropical South ;D The group 2s generally start to show green before the group 3s - some of mine are looking positively verdent at the moment. Will we get to see photos in due course?
