I wonder what would be the comparable date for us here. The ground is still frozen solid here around Feb. 14th. Not even the crocuses or snowdrops would be showing.

Thats a good question TT it could still be frozen ground here to but im still going to try it.
I supose the slugs come out the ground when it getting softer they must have an inbuilt timer in their brain.
You could look at the end of your realy bad snowy weather when you think you wont have any more.
I know thats easier said than done but i will give this expert hosta grower the chance to see if hes right. ;D
