I said that I wouldn't buy any roses today but my gardener friend at the Nursery said that he had a rose that I just had to have - he always says that. However from a French breeder called Michel Adam and I was asked to trial it for illnesses and weather etc. Quite looking forward to it really. The only problem that I have with this rather lovely Rose that apparently has scent to die for is the name - Elvis. How romantic. It is a white erect bush - 120cm and extremely resistant to all the known illnesses and rain. There isn't a picture at the moment so I am really looking forward to seeing it and also feel rather flattered that I have been asked to trial it. The other rose that I chose/was told to choose is Felidae from Schultheis. A modern "old" rose which is yellow to apricot and creme-white outer petals. Fast thornless. All in all 2 rather nice roses and a bit different from my normal rose shopping. RF

Hi rosefan and rm
well obviously all the official trials have been done otherwise the rose wouldn't be allowed as you well know but it is a first in Germany and should be shown next year.
Must admit I am a little excited.
I will show a load of photos and ask for your comments..
