Hi all,
I bought 3 small plants today. Any do's and dont's ? what soil or position etc... The label states that it flowers early summer but this isnt right surely ?? I thought they all flowered late ? Its also states that is of mixed colors, Orange, Red and yellow but i always thought 'Helena' was yellow only ??

Oh dear Mr G  with the problems you have in your garden with your clay and water retention I would have thought you'd checkout the wants of plants before buying them  They like full sun, fertile, moist but well-drained soil and usualy flower from June to August You can see a good selection of the colours on here, there are some butes www.samshrub.co.uk/helenium/helenium.htm |

You know me i cant resist a good bargain !!  Ive got some 'Morheim Beauty' right next to my wet area and their fine ! Flowered their socks off and look healthy enough at the moment ! I took a gamble, and hopefully it will pay off ! Mr G |
