Well,It's a Drimys lanceolata and I think it is lovely - the purply stems are gorgeous. I have it in a pot at the moment as I don't think it is fully hardy  |

I think it's hardy. I've had one in my front garden for several years now & it has been fine. It's east facing aspect.
