I've for Praecox too but it hasn't flowered for me yet - I've moved it a few times and my neighbour keeps mowing it as I let it flop all over the place. Anyway - I hope it flowers this year, and that you enjoy yours FA! Any news about your Primrose Star btw? Good luck with your hunt Aprilaydee!!! ;D Poor Praecox Grannyjanny!! ;D

Don't worry Plocket. It's going to a good home. I read somewhere recently that it is a plant for a large garden, so I don't feel quite so guilty. Janet.

Those of you that have rouge cardinal can you look at this and tell me if it looks familiar - one without a label and it was very impressive last year I did post it here but no one was sure - thanks

It's a lovely clematis! I can't say for sure that it's Rouge Cardinal because the petals are quite curly around the edges and that isn't the case on the initial picture that I've checked, but the centre stamens are the right colour. Another possibility would be Ville de Lyon - how tall is yours now? VdeL grows quite a bit bigger than Rouge Cardinal at 10-12ft vs 6-8ft. I'll do a bit more research when I have more time if that's ok!
