I know it's a Group 3 which needs are hard prune but not sure if it's too late now............wouldn't have thought so  Sorry couldn't help more Lottie  S x |

Hia Lottie Lady! It's a viticella and a rather pretty one too. If you need to prune it now you can do - but you'll have to do it fairly carefully if that's possible. If you can (and this is where it might get difficult coz of the honeysuckle) you need to look down each stem and cut just above where the lowest new growth is - that way it's pruned but you are still keeping some of the new growth.
I kinda get the feeling though that you want to chop the honeysuckle and the clem together though.....

Hi Plocket! Thanks for that - I would like to give the Honeysuckle a bit of a 'trim' too - it's a bit top heavy and only just starting to come into leaf so will it be ok do you think?

I haven't got a clue about honeysuckles I'm afraid LL but I would have thought it was ok to cut back - it is the growing season after all!!! ;D

I think it's supposed to be a reddy/pinky colour but aspect can have an effect on the colour. I'm glad you're happy with it anyway LL!
