OK, it's not completely free (but what is these days), but in case this might be of interest, The Daily Telegraph (cost 70p) have a promotional offer in today's (10 April) newspaper offering four large flowering clematis "FREE" (+ £3.99 p&p).
Applications need to be received by 11 May 2007.

It doesn't actually say which ones, it just says large flowered mixed clematis collection. Hardy and perfect for patio pots etc. Orders by 11 May, dispatched June 2007.

Well, my four "free" large flowering clematis arrived yesterday (an offer in the Telegraph - £3.99) and they are plug plants at the moment but hopefully they will survive. The ones sent (incidentally from Thompson & Morgan) are:
