Today we had our plant sale at our allotments and I came away with plenty plants to refill my spring pots. So tonight I have just spent the last hour emptying the pots of the spring bulbs and the old compost. This year my spring bulbs did really badly, my tulips just seemed to shrivel up and die and anything that did flower was very poor. When I had taken out the bulbs I found that many seemed to have rotten and had mould on them, is this normal, or is it just that the bulbs were maybe past it? I also noticed that many of the bulbs were multiplying. I took out those that seemed to be ok, but I don't know what to do with them now. I took off all the rotting stuff off the outside of the bulbs. I can't remember all of them but there were tulips and hyacinths. Can anyone advise if im ok to keep them and what to do with them? Thanks, Julia
