DG started a thread a while back asking about his Strawberries and it turned into all of us talking about what to do with the runners. Well several weeks ago after picking up a few tips on here, I put my all my pots and baskets on the garden where I'd had Tats and just poked the runners into the ground slightly and left them. I potted a few up that had already got signs of roots growing and today I've cut the others from the main plant and potted them up too. Now have 22 plants for next year I was really amazed to see that a couple of the runners had grown flowers I nipped them off

I did go to do it, but the little pots I put all around the big one kept getting knocked over by Little DG so I gave up in the end so will content myself with just giving what's there a good trim this year and if necessary I'll buy some more next year...
