Went to a GC today.....pack of 12 blue petunia seeds...YES 12 SEEDS for £2.49 from Thompson and Morgan. Pack of 24 pre germinated plugs of the same petunias...£2.99  |

I am always amazed at the cost of seeds - but why the enormous difference between seeds and the plug plants then?

Well, that really is a ridiculous cost-benefit ratio!! I don't mind seeds like Canna costing a bit over the odds, but it's incredible that T&M charges €2 for a pack of marigold seeds and Lidl charges 59c - with exactly the same results from both!!!! ... cheers ...

Why, when cerinthe is a self seeder that's also easy to collect seed from and to germinate do you pay so much for so few seeds?
The seed v's plug thing is rediculous too!!
What you need is a few friends, preferably on a forum, that have a few spare seeds.........
