I know this is probably a stupid question but........
Can I put the slugs and snails that have drowned (happily I am sure) in the beer traps that I put out onto the bird table for the birds or is that a no-no?
An embarrassed MRH x

As you say I am sure that they died very happily.....I didn't put mine on the bird table but I did just empty the pot out and the birds happily took them - they flew away in a straight line as well...groan!!

Thanks RF....I wasn't sure whether or not to leave them for the birds...I only put the traps out on Saturday evening and the things are over half full

I was amazed how quickly they take a sip and also I got a load of mice falling in and drowning..

Nor can I but my suggestion is you deep fry them as beer flavored snacks. Probablly go down well on a Friday night in the local city centre. ;D Come up again well a bit later though.
