Then Spring has to be here then if they are back in France as well.....I think they were a lot later last year - mind you we had summer in April last year!!
I haven't seen any swallows yet though.

We have starlings nesting under the soffit boads outside our bedroom again. I did ask OH if he would block up their hole in the winter, they make such a racket starting at about 4 in the morning. We had a pair of house martins build a nest on the neighbours house that overlooks our forecourt. It was lovely. Hope they come back this year. There was quite a bit of interest from other house martins in where they had chosen too so we might have more.

The Blue Tits are busy deciding which nest box they like the best in our garden. (We have a few that our 2 boys have made over the years!) I love the way Blue Tits fly in up and down swoops (can't think of a more technical way to put it!) and once they have decided which Blue Tits are having which box they just fly straight in. The little entrance hole doesn't look like it could possibly be big enough to squeeze through!

I've got the sim problem Jasmine - but mine are great tits - they keep trying to make the hole bigger - they are swooping about my garden but not sure if they have decided to make their home with me as yet I keep hearing a chipping noise as they hammer away inside trying to enlarge the hole - they are not making much progress - I cant interfere Glad your beans are flowering FB ;D
