Had a trip to Eggleston Hall with my boss and bought a few plants.
Geranium x magnificum Geranium 'Sherwood' Camassia leichtini caerolia Acanthus mollis 'Hollards Gold' Sambucus 'Black Beauty' Lonicera syringantha Hammamelis 'Pallida' Syringa meyeri 'Palibin' Weigela 'Naomi Campbell' Weigela florida 'Variegata' Syringa emodi 'Aureo Variegata'
plus various Delphiniums, Lupins, Alliums and Muscaris.

That is a really impressive list Paul, - I was looking at the Geranium 'Sherwood' the other day - it really is lovely isn't it.

Had a trip to Eggleston Hall with my boss and bought a few plants. Syringa meyeri 'Palibin'plus various Delphiniums, Lupins, Alliums and Muscaris. One of my favourite lilacs. Also known as S. Velutina palibiniana (or used to be many years ago)

Ah I am not the only one who could not resist Geranium Sherwood. I had it in a bit early as it wasn't properly hardened off. Turns out it is a tough cooky. Magnificum, though a lovely purply blue is somewhat of a floppy one. It benefits from staking with twiggy sticks. Good amount of flowering shrubs too Paul. I hope they get to see some real Spring soon.
