I enjoyed it - made a few notes as well so learned something. They definitely seem to be making it more applicable to a wider gardening audience, and I didn't spot any arty shots or annoying music I can put up with Carol, it won't be all her will it Wonder what Monty is up to for six weeks. x Tig

I'm only asking why put Carol in because they have a perfectly good presenter in Alys. CPB's proabally right in that they are breaking her in ( ) but what better chance would she have? I must admit that they are covering the 'newbies' to gardening well but as an old hand I enjoyed the reminders too. ;D I have a couple of geraniums in pots, the same as Carol, I'll be splitting them soon!! ;D No idea what Monty's doing.....

Loved the 1st weeks, didn't like last weeks but enjoyed last nights so hopefully it is back on track Don't like Monty - smug, patronising and controlling in my opinion Like Joe and Carol but unsure of Alys yet ( or her dog!!) Had to laugh when Monty asked her to help to dig out the shrub, then left her to it while he talked to the camera!! ;D Wish they'd reinstate the weather and what to do this week

Great, I really enjoyed it. Thank goodness for the iplayer though coz I nearly always seem to miss it on friday. I can see Alys becoming quite popluar. Only 2 negative comments from me, Alys needs to slow down her talking a bit though for me, lovely voice though and I wish they would leave the names of plants on screen a little longer. As Amo said some good reminders. Also for me some ideas for plants and planting and some reminders of things I have and had forgetten about. Loved the sensory garden design. Mmmm grasses something I don't have then realised I have a Stippa in a pot Reminded me I have 2 Vibernum Birkwoodii in pots that need planting. Great Garlic that Joe was given, might plant some of my pot frown ones in the garden now. Sounded a good idea to put Onion, Garlic and Shallots in plugs to start them off, must remember that. Loved the Ariculas in those pots on that shelf in the Norfolk garden and the use of the old ladder Loved the green petalled one, Serenity. Great bit of recycling by Carol, cardboard to make modules in seed trays, brill. Think I need some more Rubeckia and definately need that lovely Geum - Marmalade what a lovely apricot colour it was. Liked the idea of the nursery bed that Carol did too.

I enjoyed GW last night, I have a few more plants on my wanted list. The heuchera 'mahogany' looked very attractive, and the bright green one, I think it was called 'Key Lime Pie' or something like that?
Don't think I will bother with the Voodoo Lily if ever I see one!
And the lady and her hostas was interesting, I got the 'recipe' for the garlic wash which I shall be trying. I think Plocket uses it to good effect?

Much more interesting this series, isn't it? Loved the heuchera too Tig. Must look out for some of those. What about that young lad? Confident or what? He'll be worth watching I reckon. Never thought of Joe as a flower arranger but he did ok, didn't he?

The young lad was sooo enthusiastic, I reckon if he doesn't get too distracted by girls he will make a good career out of gardening and design I thought Joe did very well as a flower arranger, quite an architectural creation of colour and form

Really, really enjoyed last nights program. Calm, relaxed and I felt I was being talked to rather than at as a bystander.

I've always enjoyed GW and don't have any criticisms of it really - I thought it was nice to see Simon King getting involved and Joe's allotment section is quite fun - I enjoy the way he justs talks to the camera and is obviously learning as he goes. Carol is great although I wish she wouldn't get so OTT about every single plant..and I like the emphasis on the wild flowers and eco friendly habitats. It makes a nice change to see them not tidying everything to the nth degree.....but that's how I garden so I'm biased ;D I shall miss Monty though.......

They seem to be coping very well without Monty, I'm not bothered who presents it as long as the content is interesting and informative. Enjoyed it even more last night 'cos OH has bought a HD TV and installed freesat, and guess what was on in HD ;D
