On the premise that good gardeners always plan ahead I hope this thread may spur some of us gardeners into action rather than just thinking about it I have good intentions - then I forget what they were! So in the next week ... I will transplant my chillies into bigger pots I will decide my planting scheme for the rest of my veggies I will plant out the numerous purchases I have put by to go into the borders! Oh and I will sow a few more sweetcorn and get some dill growing! Anyone want to commit ;D x Tig

shut up shut UP SHUT UP TIGS!!! Really!! You should know better! Please now go and plan a week of going out shopping, housework and ironing and generally not being able to go out in the garden at all. That way the sun will shine and you can sneak out through the back door. If you plan on doing all those nice, outdoor gardening things, it's bound to rain!!

What a good idea Tig ;D
I tend to have a list on the go so I don't forget all the jobs that want/need doing, an absolute must for me. It helps me remember those jobs that need OH's help too, so when he asks I can say Ooooh yes bla bla needs doing ;D
This week for me off the top of my head as the list is in the GH......
Pot on seedlings
Plant out some vegggies
Fix tops of fence panels (OH job) today
Plants last of Tats in tubs

The weather is something I garden with not by choice, but by necessity! If I waited for the sunshine I'd never get owt done ;D Typical April morning - sunshine and hail-showers, but undeterred I managed to get my hands mucky Potted on the chillies this morning (indoor jobs), and the plants in pots are now in the borders. More bulb planting, the ginger (I forgot about it : has been put in a pot and stuck in the mini-growhouse, and all the other bulbs/corms are in whatever seemed most appropriate for them x Tig

I have to plant up loads of patio pots and 2 more hanging baskets - but my BIG job is to clear a woodland style bed of "mind your own business" before it completely covers to poor primulas there . Tomorrow I am going to a super new nursery I've discovered to buy plants for this bed, so I'm hoping it'll spur me on to do the clearing!!
