I'm just having a clean up in the GH and can you tell the weather is warming up, the bugs are out in force Thought this was worth flagging to newbie GH owners and as a reminder to not so newbies.......Be warned. Found greenfly on a couple of my young Aquilegia and a couple of other young plants, they got squished and then a spray with the garlic water. Found 2 Wasps they were in amongst plants, just sitting there all dozy like until I tried to squish them then they burst into life. One got gotted and I lost one, will be on my guard now coz it was angry and is likely to want to give me some pay back in the form of a sting. Found an adult Vine Weevil under one of the trays, thats really upset me so I'll be on guard for them now. Not having a good day really am I

Oooooo! Poor Chuckles with the weevil!!! Can't say that I've totally been without greenfly all winter to be honest but it's in managable proportions. I have, however, just stocked up on the Provado for the weevil and will be dosing everything as soon as possible.

Do you know what annoys me about greenhouses? I give mine a good sweep out and wash down. Put back all the plants. Then by the time everything has had its first watering, the whole place is a mess again. Too cold up her for pests. ;D
