I had this attached to the tree fern I bought a while back, and posted its photo on the exotics thread. CPB suggested it may be an Echium, as it is now a fair bit bigger I wondered if anyone can give me more of a clue x Tig

I was so hoping that someone would come up with "the" answer Tig.
I know this plant - have seen it so often and I don't know what it is called.....it is so annoying!!

Looks a little bit like Datura (Angel's Trumpet) but the leaves aren't quite right.

Is it a weed RF (just be my luck to be nurturing a pest ) Tig I must admit that I am on the weed side...as Amo said the word "thistle" keep entering my head I am afraid. I have nurtured and cosseted quite a few weeds in my time - the last one being the most annoying as it turned out to be from next doors field and I used my last slug pellets on it. No big deal except it was BH and I couldn't get any more - some of my plants went by the way.. RF
