I have not had much of a problem in the last 3 years with Blanket Weed in my tiny pond (approx 1 mtr x half mtr x half mtr deep) But this year it is going silly already Worst I've ever seen it What's the best control for this? (I don't mind chemicals, if they work) I have goldfish in it, and plants.

Aother popular product is Blanc kit Excel www.pond-doctor.co.uk/longblanketweed.htmI used it once and it did work well but also knocked back the floating plants (Frogbit) which were just starting to get going, so these days I just get the twiddling stick out, although this year (the first with the second pond in the system and a lot more plants) there is almost none in.

Andy, I might give this stuff a try, but will the lily be ok. It is the only thing growing at the moment. CJ

Barley Straw is a good option to use for blanket removal from pond.
