Our garden has been neglected, abused and battered. It has been ignored, unfairly treated and more or less left to it's own devices. We move in and tend, nurture and love it, add to it and hopefully give things a more promising life. We had vast swathes of the lovely Solomons Seal that went on and on un blemished for most of the summers. I dutifully moved them to a nice sheltered place when they were in danger of being overrun and not appreciated. Tonight, whilst sitting on the terrace we were admiring their graceful, fully arching stems dripping with flowers. And this little monster drilling her holes!!! OH, bless him, upon me revealing the devastating affect these little mites can have on the Solomons Seal, has been squishing quite successfully. 4 so far. I don't hold out much hope for our evasion of the invasion. But WHY WHY WHY when neglected the garden thrives, when nurtured it throws nasties!! We have the now banned Derris dust but I'm reluctant to use it when I see the larvae. Anyone any other suggestions??

That's great Rita! OH did find the Provado Ultimate yesterday and he had a good squirt last night. He is now on a mission! It's really nice to know that he's done the right thing!! Many thanks. I squished my first lily beetle yesterday too! The lily's are about to burst and need bringing out of the greenhouse.
