Now that I have been traumatised by tatoos and spiders I feel the need for some nice pictures.....................I am very fickle when it comes to my favourite plants. The favourite seems to be what ever one I think looks best on any given day. Todays is our Wisteria..... The photo's dont do it justice and the smell is heavenly! So come on people what is your top of the pops this week and show us the pictures..................

Karlslass, you have certainly been successful with that Wisteria, it's a beauty. Wish I could have the same success A well deserved top of the pops. And Amo, I've already commented on your poppy, it's a stoater. ;D PS Karlslass, is it the wo :Dnderful Karl who keeps the outside of the house looking so spic and span?

Well actually WT, the outside of the house hasn't been touched since we moved in 4 years ago except for a quick wash down when he built the arched wall and fitted the gate! It is really overdue for some attention. Sadly the previous owners saw fit to paint the stone window ledges and coins (fancy corner stones) so they all need sanding off and redoing. We were going to try and get it all back to the stone, but dont think its going to work. We also need all new sofit and fascia and the old (very old) cast guttering and downpipes also need attention. Wish I knew a builder!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like the bloke who used to own our house just slapped coats of paint over everything rather than renew it. He did manage to replace the windows with lovely uPVC double glazing tho Still could be worse, we could still be living in our old house with a tiny garden

Just for you KL, despite being nearly asleep at the computer, I dragged myself to my wee cloakroom window and took everything off the ledge, just to take this photo for your thread. Rather a boring very old cherry tree at the side of the house, but it is the star of the garden for a short while every year, Though I have never seen it as good as this year. Dripping with blossom.

This is one of my faves taken a few days ago, its a climber and the smell is divine. Most of the flowers are now going over and I keep dead heading because it's putting on new growth ready for a second smaller flush of flowers a bit later

This is definately top of my hit parade at the moment. Gypsophila elegans 'Rosea' (I think). It's been in the same spot for more years than I can remember and I daren't split it in case I lose it!

I rescued a Loncera Brownii 'Dropmore Scarlet' from an outlet we visited on 26th June, sad looking thing it was, reduced to half price. With a nice new bigger pot and plenty of tlc it has new buds all over and today it gave me pure joy ;D x Tig
