I have a wisteria which I have had for 5 years.....it still hasn't flowered!! I am begining to suspect that it hasn't been grafted and that I'm in for a loooonnng wait!! So.... I have spent the last 3 weeks trawling every outlet I can think of,trying to buy a wisteria which is a) in flower b) supple stemmed c) not twisted round a stick d) will fit in my Mini Cooper I have been spectacularly unsuccessful and it'd driving me mad!! There....I feel a bit better now!!

Glad that's made you feel better Auricula. Haven't got any suggestions I'm afraid. I dropped lucky with mine, many years ago. Picked up a fairly small plant, in flower, in our local G/C (now changed hands so no repeat performance). Found it was a layer cutting and it has flowered every year since! That was pure luck. They spend ages grafting them which is why they can be so expensive but if they take layer cuttings they will be clones of the parent plant so if it flowered, they will!

Worth the wait - ;D

Thanks - as it's raining here I'll give it one last shot!! Otherwise I'll just wait for the one I've got, and plant a lovely new Abutilon which I've bought and can't find a suitable place for ;D ;D

If you have clay soil dont plant your Abutilon in it - mine died - and I think they like a warm sheltered spot - you can buy them in flower and they are very tempting ;D
