Has anyone ever built a greenhouse ?
I have a space that measures approx 5' x 5'. There are no greenhouse out there as far as i know that will fit that size without having to get one made bespoke stylee.
So i thought that if i built a wooden from...maybe using 2 x 1" tannalised timber and then painted with further damp protectors, i could then clad on twinwall polycarb sheeting.
It would only need 3 sides and a roof as it will be a lean too type GH against my brick built shed....which has both mains water and electricity.
Worth it ?

If you have the space, and the ingenuity to do this, give it a go. All worth while when finished I would say.

Good idea to try and build one. Have you got a local double glazing place, they sometimes put wrongly made windows and doors in the skip If they had some full glass door units you'd be laughing. We used one and the glass from 2 patio doors in our summer house. You just need to remove them from the frame and then build them into your own wooden frame. A double glazed GH Word of warning though, the glass units are flipping heavy.

I'd cost the raw materials first Andy, then decide if it is a worthwhile venture If you can get your hands on any recycled wood that might reduce the cost, do a WT and check the local skips
