Does anyone visit this place? We went today and I have to say I was very disappointed, and I wondered if anyone felt the same.
Since it was taken over by Wyevale I have been concerned that it has gradually changed, and not for the better.
Today I went to collect a plant I had ordered - Aquilegia "Goldfinch". The plant I was given looked dreadful - it looked dead except for one leaf and there was no sign of new growth. And they expected me to pay £7.99 for it! Now I know they are perennials and I know it could well come back fine next year, but why should I buy something that looks that shabby?
And we usually have a lovely lunch there too - in fact LP asks to go to Bridgemere just so she can have a nice lunch! The selection of stuff for the childrens' meals was limited: usually there is a nice selection of sandwiches, drinks, yoghurts, fruit, puddings, crisps and biscuits. Today there were a few sandwiches, two carton drinks, jaffa cakes, and crisps. I asked about fruit and yoghurts and was told there weren't any. So much for a healthy meal!
We did have a nice morning and did get the other bits I wanted. But I can't help thinking that Bridgemere isn't now what it once was.

I went in January P they were selling all the xmas things of then. So didnt realy see many plants at that time of year. Also the gardens were closed so couldnt see those either.I always think of you when we go into staffordshire. We went to Trentham gardens on Tuesday and thought of you then to. Its about 56 miles from were we live.

Aw bless you Snowy! I haven't been to Trentham Gardens for a while now and really should go again. Were they looking good?

It still looks beautiful, and according to Chelsea, green is the "in" thing
