Does anyone here grow it?? Embothrium coccineum?
We have a village not 3 miles from us and the first day I drove through it was the day I picked up the keys to this house and I saw this tree. I thought it was a calestemon at first and it was a year later that I tried finding it again, didn't remember where I'd seen it!!! We passed it briefly and was still not sure.
This year we have just gone through the village again and there are 4 trees/ very large shrubs of this stunning plant. I have just managed to find out what it is online and it loves deep, lime free soil. We are three miles away on the chalk side!!! ARRRGHH!

I had never heard of it Amo, but it looks quite attractive. Found this which says it likes deep and well-drained soils coolexotics.com/plant-404.htmlx Tig

I'm pretty sure they grow it at the Dorothy Clive Garden. I'll have to check the next time I go there. It would make sense that they like it lime free because at DC they have lots of rhododendrons, azaleas and camelias
